On March 16, HSBC BANK MALAYSIA BERHAD auctioned off a work by leadiing local artist Jailaini Abu Hassan for charity.
This is the intriguing painting (pic) he created when Kuala Lumpur's Galleriiizu engaged him to create a piece based on the theme, "Malaysia: 50 Years of Growth" for the bank.
The painting was sold for RM33,000 (and not RM33,333 as printed last week); the proceeds were contributed to local volunteer relief organisation, Mercy Malaysia.
The public can get a little "piece" of the work, too:
HSBC is offering a limite-edition set of gifts inspired by Jalaini's creation to anyone who applies for a Premier account during the ongoing HSBC Premier Campaign.
The campaign continue until May 18.
